Client:

Treetops Kitty Cafe is a 501c3 non-profit, founded in 2016, and a rescue that pulls the majority of its cats from highly crowded shelters or intercepts them on their way there. Whether looking to adopt or just stop in to play, for a small entry donation, Treetops offers a unique experience for guests where they can mingle with all adoptable cats.

Goals:

Update supporters of Treetops on the progress of the rescue’s most recent, urgent fundraiser while also giving them the opportunity to become monthly donors along with a quick adoption update for one of the rescue cats.

Strategy:

This was a longer newsletter due to the important information that needed to be communicated to supporters of the rescue. Knowing this, I still kept the copy as concise and direct as possible while making sure the messaging made its intended impact. I highlighted the benefits a guest would experience by choosing to become a monthly donor and provided a very clear call to action for those interested. I used the adoption update to end the newsletter in a lighter, but still heartfelt way to showcase the important work and difference this rescue makes for the cats and community.

Results:

The urgent nature of this fundraising event brought in over $55,000 for Treetops Kitty Cafe, allowing them to keep their doors open.
